The Berkshire Record Society

Enclosure has been an important element in the agricultural and landscape history of Berkshire. Between the late fifteenth and the late nineteenth centuries nearly three-quarters of Berkshire was enclosed by Parliamentary and other means. Following an introductory survey, this volume provides a parish-by-parish summary of enclosures in Berkshire and includes complete transcripts of a number of key documents.
